OH MY ELEPHANTS!!! (Woman’s version of OMG!)
In three and in four days… the most exciting events of the past two months are going to happen.
Firstly… on Sunday, the event I’ve been waiting for somewhat patiently for the past year is going to happen.
Doctor Who returns to TV!!!!! Who is going to watch it with me?
I know I am not the only one who is excited about it… many of my students plan on visiting all the “extra” lessons I am holding to watch and catch up with Doctor Who. All I have to say is I just cannot wait to watch it again!
And since those of you who have been reading The World According to Woman for a while know that sci-fi gets me off. I cannot wait!!!! Can you imagine it?
I still want a Sonic Screwdriver vibrator. Can you imagine how neat that would be?
And secondly… on Monday… I GET TO GO BACK TO WORK!!!!
It only took me causing a ruckus which started last week with me not getting a reply back from the school to my questions of when do I start work. No one replied, so after a few hours, then I continued calling up the chain of command thingie making noise.
So finally, yesterday, I sent a message to the dean of the college demanding to know when I start work.
And you are never going to beleive his response:
“I don’t know.”
I mean the freiggen dean of the college had no idea about when classes begin!
Meh it is China. I finally got a message about ten minutes after the dean’s reply from one of the secretaries telling me that I start Monday and that I should not be sending messages to the dean.
All I could say in return was… “Communication is key. If people refuse to communicate in a timely manner, I shall continue to go up the chain of command till I get the answers I need. Have a lovely day.”
There you have it!!! Two fantastic peices of news happen within twenty-four hours of each other… How wonderful for me???
I cannot wait till I finally get to work again! And Season 7 of Doctor Who!
Oh and let me explain… I personally think that the whole, “OMG!” or “Like oh my god!” is just so annoyingly over used. So, since throughout time, various animals had been referred to as deities… why not use them instead? So yuppers! I say, “Oh my turtles”, “Oh my kittens” which is just so much more fun than “oh my cats” and oh so many others.
So ladies and gents, stop using “Oh my god” and start using something fun! And remember… Sunday is Doctor Who day!!! Whose with me on watching? Who is as excited as I am?

Communication is key. Too bad not enough people know how to use it!
Exactly.
I read something on Twitter this morning where the chap said, “Honest people are always told they are rude.” Very much shines true over in these parts!!!!
Told my post grads this morning that I will probably be the rudest person they will ever met. But. At least they will know what I am saying is the truth.
They were not all that happy.
More often than not people are offended by the truth and honesty. I on the other hand appreciate it for what it is.
Way to go!! Are the rest of us allowed to use OME too, or just you?
A sonic screwdriver vibrator would sell like crazy I’ll bet.
Have fun teaching your new classes!!!
But of course you can darling!! You can also use, “Oh my cats/ beetles/ cows/ turtles/ crows / Zeus…” and what ever strikes your fancy!!! HEck… you can even say, “Oh Woman’s Breasts!” if you’d like too!!!
Lessons were amazing!!! I get to work twelve hours straight tomorrow, no break. I am so excited!!!!! It shall be such fun!
LOL You are such a wonderful and unique person. Some people would complain about “getting” to work 12 hours straight but you are so energetic and passionate you love it!
And I’d LOVE to say “oh my Woman’s breasts”! Can I also say “Oh my Woman’s soft, silky legs?”
But of course- only when I’ve shaved though. Otherwise that is not necessarily true!!!
Working is fun!!!! If a person is interested in what they do, why wouldn’t they mind working for many hours???
And are you over the man-flu? Are you better?
I remember watching Tom Baker as Dr Who from behind the sofa when I was small… the daleks were so scary!!
A sonic screwdriver vibrator, there’s a thought.
I think the Sonic would be such fun!!! And such a tribute!!! But then again, I think I might just be the only woman to damn near come close to orgasming just from watching Doctor Who.
I am currently downloading all the Doctor Who from the very first series… have to say… I like the eccentric and quirky man better.
Once again, Woman, you rock my socks! I can not wait for Doctor Who, but unfortunately, I don’t get the BBC! *CRY!* I have to wait for it to come out through Netflix. That means I’ll be a few months in limbo.
*whispers* download….. Or if you are the type to not like downloading, you can watch it on the BBC website and a bunch of other websites on the net have them to stream.
I’ve actually never watched Doctor Who, but I’ve heard some good things about it. Always looking for new good series to watch. Which season do you recommend I start at?
hummm…. For me personally, I prefer the most recent Doctor (Matt Smith) over the other ones in the 2005 series (created by Steven Moffat not the older ones, it is a little confusing to explain), so I would suggest Series 5 where you get introduced to the Silence and to Matt Smith as the Doctor.
BUT.
If you like sci fi and a wee bit of humour and fun tossed in for good measure? I would suggest starting with Series One of the 2005 series. But you have to watch a few episodes to really get into it.
Doctor Who is one of the rare sci fi shows I can get my students interested in.
Let me know if you like it!! And if you are looking for some other fun shows, “Lie to Me”, “Life on Mars”, “The Closer”
You’re all about fun, right Woman?
Life is fun!!! And if it is not? Let Mary Poppins be your teacher!
